Patience and timing while spearfishing
« on: November 14, 2010, 08:35:57 AM »
Hey guys, Matt convinced me to post this one.  It's not a trophy by any means but this video is a really good example of waiting for the right shot.

If you picture this, We're scuba diving from two zodiacs just south of Timber Cove on a rough day.  I'd say the swells outside the cove where we were diving were  in the 10'+ range easy.  The surge is moving a good 5' in each direction and I'm trying to maintain neutral buoyancy so I'm not being rolled in the rocks.    I'm holding my camera in my left hand and my gun in my right hand.  The surge is pushing me forward and back, the fish is swimming side to side, each time I get a good profile shot the kelp is in the way but I wait.  And when everything lined up I stoned the little bastard.

man great example of Patience and how it pays off, and what awesome Vi's for the amount of surge and a 10+ swell.

You have some skills there.
spear gun in one hand.
camera in the other and holding steady in a surge.
And you get the shot, both shots.  :icon_thumright:
Two thumbs up.
