doesn't get much better
« on: March 18, 2016, 03:08:50 PM »
Today was perfect out of Timber cove.  20' vis and couldn't get any flatter. Got to go out with a buddy I met In a FII class. So the day started with a  nice kelp greenling at the point out of Timber. Then I found a nice Ling but he spun off. At least the gopro was on for that one though. Shot a nice perch too. Then we made are way to the north and dove a bit. ran into 3 lings at one time picked a nice one and was pretty happy with my catch for the day. Decided to do one more dive and took a nice black and yellow.
Can someone tell me were I can get a cheap hawg trough around Santa Rosa?

Thanks for the report! I was wondering if anybody was going to take advantage of the nice conditions today.
As far as a hawg trough are you talking about a tub to put your huge fish in  :D. I would try Craigs list.

Ya, need to measure these monsters :-X so I can get on the Doty scorebord. Don't think they will accept the use of a yardstick.

I have seen others use tape measure and something to put head up against like wall or block.  Just make sure lips are closed and one pic is overall and head and tail shots if it's hard to read length or see if the mouth is closed.
