What size thread is this?
« on: July 02, 2015, 02:14:28 PM »
Attached is a pic of the shaft that came with my AB Biller 36. I want to upgrade to a single flopper but don't know the thread size. Is it 6mm?
Thanks!
Andrew

I've got several AB Billers.  They all have 6 mm threads.

Awesome, thanks! What kind of tip do you use? I have a double flopper, but I like the single flopper style that the Crist spears have, and am thinking of switching to something like that.

Here you go Andrew,  this is straight from their website.
"All A.B. Biller spearguns are equipped with stainless spring steel shafts, machined with a 6mm thread to fit the complete line of A.B. Biller speartips. "

Could always go to a hardware store with the shaft and try to thread metric nuts on there. Sometimes the thread count (or thread pitch in this case) is different even though diameter is the same. But i doubt they have course and fine threaded 6mm shafts.
Change is inevitable, growth is optional.
