Has anyone ever used one of these or know of anyone who uses it for underwater video? They look pretty good and theyre HD but I just want to see some footage of some norcal waters with it.

http://www.theflip.com/en-us/Products/ The housing is only rated to 30ft. I think I would want something rated for more depth.

Ikelite makes one that goes to 130ft. Ive seen the footage on their site but im not sure i trust theirs. its their product so theyre gonna do what it takes to make it look good and to move that product.

I'm probably gonna just go with a canon SD780IS its a pretty nice camera and on sale at bestbuy.

For your first camera keep it simple and easy, Point and shoot. That's my opinion.

I just got my girl the Canon SD 960is, it's 12MP & shoots 720p HD video. It goes for around $250 and housing for another $150. It's great camera!

theyre actually pretty close to the same camera. the 780 shoots 720p HD also. but i can get the 780 for $200. also i want to get an ikelite housing ($250) because with the canon housing ($150), you cant add a color filter or a wide angle lense.
