Clean ab pound whole

Slice into 1/4" X 1" X 3" strips

Dip in Tempura batter

Roll in a mixture of Panko Bread Crumbs and sweet coconut flakes

Deep Fry at 350 until Golden Brown

Drain and serve with Sweet Chilli sauce.

Picked this recipie up at the ab and ling event from one of the other divers. Props to him for sure.

Myrel to post a pic in a post you copy and paste the embed BBC code which starts SMG id= which is located at the bottom of the pic, you first post in your pics like you did and then write your post and then paste in the code.

Just tried your coconut recipe tonight.  It was freakin delicious.  Even my wife, who is not a big abalone fan, thought it was good.

Late addition. I tried this recipe and found it to be quite tasty. I think the sweet chili sauce overpowers the ab though. I will be serving this to my friends next year! :icon_salut:

Just take enough sweet chilli sauce to get the tang you do not have to drentch it.  I also just like to eat it plain without dip.

I made this a few weeks ago and it was awesome!! The only problem I had, was that I used WAY too much coconut. It really overpowered everything else. The chili sauce was great too. First time I've used that stuff.
