New-ish scallop bar/knife
« on: August 27, 2014, 05:53:58 PM »
While I was scuba diving Butterfly House last weekend I recovered a dive knife.  It was a pain in the ass to carry it around the rest of the dive without stabbing myself/drysuit/BC/my.brother.who.spends.the.whole.dive.taking.photos.of.one.stupid.fish.

But it was all with a single goal in mind.  A new scallop knife!  I broke my last one while in the channel islands memorial weekend.

I took a grinder to the wicked double edge point and turned it into a round edge.  I built a sheath out of some 1.5-inch fire hose from work, using some screw rivets to hold it flat so the rubber inside holds the knife secure.

Scallops beware, I'm coming at you.
