Baja Trip
« on: March 13, 2014, 11:17:48 PM »
Hey Guys,

Ive been trying to get down to cabo for a while now. I originally looked at palapas, pistoleros del mar, as well as sea sniper baja (all out of el sargento). However flights to La paz are pretty ridiculous $600+. During my searching I have found Dive Mulege. This company is further north in the sea of cortez run by an american from SoCal.  I have found very good reviews from our fellow spearos. I contacted robert for pricing for 1 but I would like to extend an invite to whoever would be interested in plugging some big boy fish in Baja. Flights round trip from SFO to Loreto are around $250. If anyone is interested I'll be getting a response with a price soon (which I'm sure is negotiable with more people)

Cheers
Gianni

I'm inquiring for either April 24th-28th or June 19th-23rd. I'm not dead set on either set of dates but those were the easiest that worked for me.

FYI- April would be more active, June may have Wahoo or it may have nothing.  That's been my experience anyway.

Im getting a little antsy not being in the water as much as I would like right now so I was looking at sooner rather than later. Robert hasnt gotten back to me with a price yet but has responded that pelagics probably wont be around in april but it will be pretty hot with cabrilla, pargo and Yellowtail. I'd like to put some blue water time in just for a chance, but will probably focus on grouper and snapper. I think Im a reef hunter at heart anyway. I'll cruise down to Punta Mita for Blue water later in the season

Depending on how Panama goes next month I may do Punta Mita again later this year.  If Panama is off the hook though I will probably wait and do it again next year.

I missed out on Punta Mita Tuna this past year to go to Peru. So I think I'm going to hit it this year. Panama may be next spring.

Punta Mita vs Panama?
Panama, not even a question but bring your smarts and cojones.

Just doing one before the other.

However, derail.

Anyone have any helpful info for the mulege area
