I've been diving for about 30 years with a mustache and I simply keep a Chapstick in my dive kit.  Just rub the stick across that top half of the mustache lightly and there are no mask leaks.  It's the same sealing principle as the vaseline, but a lot less messy!
I wish that I was out on the water instead of sitting here playing with this computer...

And not as creepy as having vaseline in your dive bag.

You will have to shave it off!! I do.. every time I dive. But if you do try the shave a little bit off, I recommend bring that razor with.. just in case.
if you kill it, you eat it.... don't be a dick

Hey, hey, hey................have had a stache for over 35 years of diving. Don't shave the stache, find a mask that works. Not the best low volume but a scubapro frame-less has not failed me yet.

Kind of off topic.... But I've heard Firemen usually have only mustaches, due to beards conflicting with a proper seal with their masks... Is there truth behind this?? Whenever I see veteran firefighters they seem to have legendary staches.

Ah the old SCBA fit test. No need to worry just flip the control to positive pressure and run out of air.  :toothy9: :toothy9: :toothy9:
