Open foray Jan 1-3rd
« on: December 23, 2012, 11:55:15 AM »
My colleague from my Tibet mycological field research is comming to Foray Jan 1-3rd, Daniel Winkler, http://mushroaming.com/
Hes just published a cool field guide for california edibles and we will hit up the coast for sure.
He is a great resource for questions and ID,  and also presenting at the upcomming Sonoma myco club weekend.
Im open to foray sonoma, mendo or humboldt if weather is good.
Maybe a dive/foray n bbq up what we get if weather cooperates.
But worse case, salt point foray in the rain and dinner at my place in san rafael .....

Lets see if there is any interest, let me know if your interested and we can bring some heady mycophiles from our site to meet up for foray and id sessions jan1-3rd...

Porcini are up in Millbrae, found 11 in my nonos back yard monterey pines, late this year by a month, went to lands end, fort miley for 5 porcini, thus now starting w first in August, I  have coastal porcini and chanterelle from Yachats, gold beach, del norte, humboldt, mendo, sonoma, marin, SF, san mateo county..... Just need a santa cruz county by fair time..
