Going up to usal. Anyone know were the closes protected kayak launch is up there.

I've been told there's a chain across the road at the bottom of USAL and hwy 1 and that you have to hike to the beach if you want to go there.. camping is closed and it's only open for day use.    just a heads up.   if you go please let me know if I'm wrong.   been wanting to get back up there,  long drive if it is closed.  fuking COVID

Thanks for the reply.
It was completely open. Campers everywhere and the beach is open for vehicles. If you go on the beach you better have a good 4x4.

Nah, didn't look like a lot of structure plus busy doing donuts on the beach :P
