Diving the opener!!!
« on: March 25, 2012, 03:31:39 PM »
I am diving April 1st with a buddy of mine. Everybody is welcome. We will be diving Mendocino Headlands. We will be parked at the end of Kelley Rd in a white ford superduty. Should be able to dive there even in bad water condition.  Roughly 10:00am?? :headbang:

Everyone,

Please avoid pushing the limits of your personal limitations and if in doubt honor mother nature with an abort this abalone opener.  NO abalone is worthy of you being unnecessarily in the headlines.  And if not diveable, the good news is you can come back another day to dive when the ocean is calmer!

Safe diving, Brandi

Looking at wave forecast, it's gonna be rough, unless you have n/w protection...am going tomorrow, when is slightly better.  Mendo headlands, south side?

So we made the trip over anyway because we couldn't cancel our reservation. Unbelievable conditions. Even protected north and south facing coves are washing machines. We tip are hats to mother nature letting her know she won this time.  :icon_salut: Be safe out there and let's hope for better conditions.

Holly molly, the Bodega buoy has it 21ft swell @ 15 sec.

Also take look at the Pebble Beach Golf Cams right now.
