FOUND on 12/10/11: PoleSpear at SWS
« on: December 20, 2011, 05:39:26 PM »
In about 40 feet of water...

Distinctive markings/features...looks like it had been down there for a bit, but still in good shape....

PM me if you think it's yours, and describe it and I will give it back.

Sincerely,

Jim

Lino, I THINK it may be a Ray Odor pole spear!!!

Hard to tell for sure because of the faded colors, but the texture looks similar to the Ray Odors I have seen, and the parts that aren't faded (around the joints) look black...this spear has some very unique things on it though that the owner would remember, please have the person who lost the Ray Odor contact me and describe it and I would be more than happy to give it back!!

Hope it's theirs!!

Sincerely,

Jim

Time to come clean and say that I found one there too 3 weeks ago w/ Julian and Josh. When I got home, I just threw it in the closet and forgot about it. It looks brand new even the tip. If someone can tell me the length and color, I'll be more than happy to give it up to the owner.

I should have clarified that what I found was a pole spear. I did look at the lost and found section but no one has come forward yet.

Yeah, the owner would know right away how to describe it!

Did it look like a Ray Odor to you? I think it is, but I am no expert!

Jim

Don't remember 100%, because I was too impressed with the vermillion you had just shot, but from what I recall, ray odor was my first assumption.  :)
