WTB- a new dive light.
« on: August 29, 2009, 08:52:33 PM »
I recently found that my small divelight (back-up nightdive light) that I primarily use for looking into ling/ab holes doesn't work anymore. I think my 9 y.o. lost one of the pieces. Can you guys show me some links to some of the small lights that you all use while looking into holes? Im not looking for anything fancy, just a small light that will do the job.

I got the underwater kinetics SL4 5.5 watt, plenty bright for hole hunting or back-up.

leisure pro has it on sale right now for $23.49, half the price I paid for mine.

Hey Rob,
I recommend the above for mentioned light, it is my back up (to the UK8D) as well! The UK 4C (4 "C" Batteries) is a powerful, very penetrating light! If that's the one you already had, I recommend jumping on the Leisurepro deal! I personally like the Halogen light better than the LED's. The Halogen light shows the true colors of the reef, which is important in photography. The blue light given off of the LED version does not. I'm glad I feel this way too! The LED's are quite a bit more expensive, however they last a LOT longer on the batteries! Food for thought.

You also want to check out the Intova LED dive lights. I have both the 3 watt narrow beam & the 4.5w wide angle beam. They have aluminum machine housings & run off cr123 batteries. They're ultrabright, durable & cost about ~$50 a piece.
