Humboldt mycological society always goes out after graduation for morels, el nino years are banner years due to late rain, Oregon has had very good year even on non-burn "natural" morel sites.  The area around Cecilville, CA is morel natural territory, gonna hit up my gps spots.... of course the sierra nevada gets more foragers than the far north, but not as much dependable rain.

Looks like I can make it up to humboldt for abs sat or sunday  Humboldt surf = Sun...N wind 5 to 15 kt. Wind waves 2 to 3 ft. NW swell 6 ft.

6 feet means some coves protected in Humboldt

Gales die down after friday way up north

just dove, totally divable no stress south Trinidad, 4pm, found nice "secluded" beach, sheltered or shadowed from the nw swell... depending on where you were, it was 8 foot swell two beaches away,or no waves at all at my spot.... at Hunda point, best surf spot, not even waves to surf, no sand bar, no sand better for abs, el nino on our side.....5-6 feet vis, aqua blue wind fading 15-20k, NW swell blocked in many places, tomorrow should be good, crescent city maybe an option to check out too
