Abalone Season opening up in April

Has anyone heard that the Abalone season will open up in Sonoma County in April ? I heard a 9 abalone per year.

I know that this rumor starts up every year.  Usually because they leave the old information in the regs as a placeholder until they extend the closure.

Last article I read said up to 60 years until recovery... with 2032 being the best case scenario for any type of ab season.
