Mendacino 2-20-20
« on: February 22, 2020, 01:37:42 PM »
Ocean was very calm, almost flat. Barely a breeze to no wind. Overcast sky's with some sun shining through. Visibility 20 to 30 feet. Fishy with lings, blacks and reds.

No kelp at all. I was tank diving at 50 to 60 feet so I am mostly in barren rocks, but in the shallow areas I saw one abalone and a couple dozen empty shells lodged in the cracks. The urchins are the size of my thumbnail and scattered.

Where have you been diving in Mendo ? Not your exact spots. But launch area and viz reports ?
Planning on something in the next week in the ocean holds or cleans up after the storm.
