NOYO BOAT LAUNCH INFO PLEASE
« on: September 14, 2019, 02:46:45 PM »
Planning on launching my boat out of Noyo harbor tomorrow.  Can't really find any info on the launch via Google. Anyone have any experience with the launch there. Such as are tides an issue, parking, how do you pay, is one side of the river better than the other. Thanks for any intell.

There are two public boat ramps, both on the south side of Noyo river.
Take south harbor exit off Hwy 20, go downhill and at the end of the road, on the river there is a single boat launching ramp. If you have larger boat, or need more elbow room there is a double ramp about 1/4 mile north, up river. From S Harbor, make a right on Basin street, follow the Dolphin Isle marina sign, the boat ramp is just before the marina.
Fee is $10 payable at the iron ranger at the S harbor parking lot....no worries about payomg ahead, the harbor district personnel will leave you an envelope under your windshield whipper.

Good luck, it was kinda choppy today, viz was mediocre, at best...looking down from noyo bluff

If launching from the eastern spot be aware of low tides, it can be tough for a big boat just west of the launch.   They did recently fix up the western dock, but its still not as big.

Based on the last picture it looks like you distracted the ling by shooting  the rock with your pole spear and then stabbed it in the head with your dive knife!  That's some advanced technique  ;D

Overall a great haul!
