MAN midhandle
« on: July 31, 2018, 04:50:35 PM »
I finally pulled the trigger (pun not intended) and commissioned a gun from Mike N.  He has texted me multiple progress pics and lots of info about how he is designing it to operate. Dude is legit, I highly recommend him. Can't wait to drill a big ling in the eye with it!

What are the specs on the gun? Looking forward to seeing it!

34" teak/wenge midhandle, five horizontal lams, open track, open muzzle, Reef mech with manual reset side line release, two 9/16" bands, Riffe 9/32 flopper shaft with sharkfin tabs, one wrap 300# black mono with muzzle bungee, balasted to just barely float with the shaft out, multi coat epoxy finish.

Sorry no pics.

I bought a 36" midhandle and a 59" from mike. There are few guns out there that come close in quality. They're incredibly accurate too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I’m technologically challenged. Here are a couple shots. I should have epoxy on this weekend.

That teak/wenge is a nice contrast, my little rollergun is a lighter  tone walnut and wenge mix.    I really like the dark plugs on the bottom. I blended mine in with the walnut walnut and i wish i would have used wenge or black epoxy plugs.
That gun will be sweet once you get that epoxy on.

Nice work, as always. What length is that shaft?
