Volunteers needed with Urchin Removal Event
« on: June 21, 2018, 08:38:32 AM »
Hey all,
we need volunteers to help kayak the full bags of urchin from the divers to the boats at the next event.  Having kayaks to shuttle the bags increases the divers productivity exponentially because they don't have to swim to the boat every time they fill a bag.  If you're diving on SCUBA you can volunteer on your surface interval, or if you only want to volunteer a half day and dive the rest that's fine too.

Rob102 is coordinating the kayak volunteers so send him a PM if you're interested.

Parvise is coordinating the crushing team.  I'll ask him how it's going.

One possibility if you're diving tanks is that you dive while Jason does kayak support, then when you're tank is done and you need to do a surface interval anyway you switch.  Talk to Rob about it.

Good idea! I'll try to find a dive buddy to do the same.

surface interval really ! not when diving under 20ft of water bro also this old man does not do any paddling anymore !! but others are more than welcome to use my old kayak. I figured I would be doing my part by shuttling divers in my boat and diving lol
