Monterrey/Carmel - Water Health?
« on: February 06, 2018, 08:48:37 AM »
Hey all,

Just getting settled in Santa Cruz and was looking to start scoping out/ diving Monterrey and Carmel (any recommendation on nice shore dives would be greatly appreciated).  That being said, I am hearing reports about a sewage spill in the area, anyone know the status on this?  Found a post on it here: http://norcalunderwaterhunters.com/forum/index.php?topic=10784.msg87244#msg87244

Cheers,
Alex

It’s dissolved solids, you don’t see it; but when you put your snorkel back in your mouth....

It's a big ocean.

I dove twice last week since the spill and had great viz, nice fish and no ill effects.

 :)

Sincerely,

Jim
