Easiest reference for current fishing regulations
« on: March 19, 2017, 12:43:01 PM »
Was diving with some buddies yesterday and we were talking about how bad the DFW website is and how painful it can be to find current regulations from a Google search, especially for mid-season closures and health warnings. This is the link I use, and it is the easiest resource I've found so far...

https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Fishing/Ocean/Regulations/Fishing-Map

Just click on what region you'll be fishing/diving on the map and it will pull up current regulations. Green species are open, yellow species are open with restrictions, and red species are closed. Click on each species for more info. Most give you minimum length, bag limits, and health advisories, but some (mainly tuna I think) refer you to the full regulations booklet
