Thank you.... i talked to the guys at WM..... and they said g flex can only be used as a glue, and not a finish!

I would not try to use Gflex for finish, only layup. 

Check out Resin Research.

Took my first finished homade wooden speargun out for a test run, and am happy to say..... it shot straight as a laser!!! Its a little long for here, but with the clear conditions today... it wasnt an issue :).... thanks for all the help and advice from the other gun builders here!!

Nice gun! My wife just bought me a jbl explorer 22... I have never speared before but I think the wooden guns look much nicer! Let's trade! Lol, jk 8)

Wooden guns rule..... the first one I shot, was mine.... I couldn't believe it..... no recoil, straight as an arrow.... I still have a couple guns to go, but pretty much know that  a  thick speargun made of wood, is a much different experience than shooting with a rob Allen or any kind of pipe gun

its a ctually a reverse mech..... which I don't like, because I don't like the line release on the top.

Hey ya all..... hate to bring up an old thread, but im building my first mid handle, and was looking for some tips on push rods and remote triggers..... i know mike and phil do this, a lot but was wondering if anyone else has built one and can help with troubleshooting, initial problems..... trying to avoid a learning curve.
