Title: Winning Recipe's from '09 Big Ab Comp?

So, I thought that the winners and the other participants were going to post up the recipe's of all those fine Ab dishes? :dontknow:

Most of the people that competed in it were and are not memebers on hear mike. That why you have not seen them.

OK  how about a description of the fire AB, did any one take pics of winning  dishes? Is theis the tequnique(sp) od ab in aluminum foil in coals?

I believe it's like chevice but you add chinese hot oil and rice vinager the reef geek can get the recipe im sure

my brother took a picure of his table while he was working on it with all of his ingreaients there I will see if he still has it.

Yep, the bottles are on the table for the "Fire Ab" if anyone has a picture.
And, if you gauge the amount of liquid missing in each bottle, you can figure the approximate recipe.

I talked to Jeff last Tuesday and he said he always "just add a little of this, and a little of that, until it tastes right".

Wish I could help you guys out, but I have no idea what the hell is in that dish (but it's sure effin' delicious).

UPDATE: I attempted to reverse engineer the "Fire Ab" this weekend with a little help from my wife.  I have to say, it came out pretty nice, but after steeping in the vinegar and lime juice (ceveche style) for more than 3-4 hours actually over "cooked" the ab making it chewey instead of soft.  Maybe it's because Jeff's was all devoured before it sat that long, or maybe it's because he did something different.  I will continue to experiment and (maybe) post my results ;)
