Had to run up to Crescent City the other day. Went for a stroll on some county property for 20 min and came out with a little under two pounds of chanterelles. There were other mushrooms around but nothing else I could identify.

Nice job! You didn't feel like playing mushroom roulette?

Wish it was like that down in the bay.......it's fire season down here
You cleaned them good but I still see a spruce needle- stay out of my spots!!! :)
You should post that pic on spearboard and make them jealous:)
Arcata matsutake still pumping at dunes
You should hook up with Robert Smoak , foray and kayaker in the area....

I wasn't feeling particularly adventurous that day...

Apologies, I'll make sure not to look for chanterelles under spruce trees from now on ;)
I have been posting over there recently, might have to do that.
I'd be stoked to go hunting with someone a bit more experienced.
