Title: Spearing La Paz/Mexico
Post by: Gernot on January 05, 2017, 04:18:20 PM
Hey guys,

heading down to Baja last week of January on a 1 week sail up the inside of the peninsula. Needless to say, I'll be bringing all my guns :-) I have 2 questions:

1) Does anyone have a good idea about the rules down there (most importantly where to get a license, but also limits, water temp (what suit to bring), etc.)?

2) If anyone wants to share some beta on good areas to hit up I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!
Gernot
PS: attached an image of the 2016 Xmas Ling I got at Butterflyhouse the weekend before Xmas

Good luck on your trip and post a report when you get back!

You can buy licenses online: http://www.bajasursportfishing.com/ (http://www.bajasursportfishing.com/)

As far as spots go, "The Baja Catch" http://www.mexfish.com/apgs/tbc3/tbc3.htm (http://www.mexfish.com/apgs/tbc3/tbc3.htm) is a great book with maps and seasons for fish. It is a good starting point for finding spots/fish.
